1. What is the BoyzNextDoor Foundation about?
We’re a mentorship-driven initiative that empowers young boys, especially in high school, to grow into confident, responsible men through life skills, digital education, and personal development.
2. Who can join the programmes?
Our core programmes are designed for high school boys, particularly from Grades 9 to 12. However, some sessions (like FutureFit or Behind Bars) are tailored for specific groups.
3. Is this a religious or political organisation?
No. We are a youth empowerment foundation focused on life skills, education, and mentorship. We work with youth from all backgrounds.
4. How can I get involved?
You can volunteer, become a mentor, sponsor a programme, or help spread the word. Check our “Get Involved” section for options.
5. Do you charge for your programmes?
Most of our programmes are free, especially our school-based outreach and camps. We rely almost entirely on funders and sponsors to make this possible — about 97% of our work is powered by generous partners who believe in our mission. In some cases, we may explore partnerships to help cover logistics or expand our reach.
6. Where are your programmes based?
We’re based in South Africa but operate in schools, communities, and youth centres depending on the programme. Some of our projects also involve travel or online sessions.
7. How are the camps structured?
The BoyzNextDoor Camps run over 6-7 days and focus on manhood, academics, and future-readiness, including digital skills, mental health, and leadership activities.
8. Can girls attend your events?
While our focus is on boys, some of our sessions (especially those covering gender dynamics or teen pregnancy) involve co-ed discussions or guest speakers for a broader perspective.
9. How do I donate to support the Foundation?
You can visit the Donate section on our website to make a safe and secure contribution — every cent helps us reach more boys and run more impactful programmes. If you'd prefer to discuss sponsorships or other forms of giving, feel free to email us at info@boyznextdoororg.org — we’d love to connect.
10. Can I recommend a school or centre for your outreach?
Yes, we’re always open to reaching new communities. Send us an email or fill out our school partnership request form.
